Ronald United Methodist Women
UMW Purpose
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community
of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom
as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative,
supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through
participation in the global ministries of the church.

Ronald UMW is just one unit among thousands of units adding our
numbers to the 1,000,000 world wide membership. UMW fosters
spiritual growth, develops leaders, and advocates for justice. This
organization raises nearly $25,000,000 every year to support projects
related to women, children, and youth in the United States and more
than 100 other countries. Use this address to find out more about

Martha Circle meets at 10:00 on the first Wednesday of the month from September through June. A business meeting is
followed by a program that is in keeping with the UMW Purpose. We have programs about current issues, mission needs

and experiences, Bible studies, and a wealth of other topics. Interesting and timely programs are always our goal. Following
the program, lunch is served.

AM Edition is another fellowship within UMW which supports the aims of the organization while meeting the needs of women
who desire to get together under less formal circumstances to share concerns, ideas, joys, and just plain fun. Our meeting
date is a bit more flexible, but we usually get together at 9:30 am on the third Saturday of the month. Often this is a potluck,
but from time to time it is hosted by one or two members or is at a restaurant.

A third, less formal group, calling themselves “The Breakfast Club”, gets together on an irregular basis.

The UMW budget reflects the concerns of the organization. The largest total item is support for missions locally and abroad.
The next largest total item goes toward education and spiritual development for members. Most of the remainder goes to
support of the local church. We place great emphasis on making it possible for members to attend workshops and retreats
by paying most of their expenses. Seven women from our unit attended Assembly 2010 in St. Louis, and we are already
making plans for Assembly 2014.

All women, members of Ronald UMC or not, are welcome to come to our meetings and activities.
